Amanda Ottosson

Amanda Ottosson was born in the Stockholm, Sweden and grew up in the United States. She has a Bachelor of Arts in global economics from the University of California Santa Cruz and a Master of Science in development studies from Uppsala University, Sweden. During her graduate studies, Amanda worked at the United Nations Development Programme’s Asia-Pacific Regional Centre in gender and development. Amanda then went on to work on community health projects in rural Ghana. Prior to joining GHC, Amanda was a Healthcare Improvement Fellow for the Quality and Performance Institute at URC-CHS and USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project. Amanda worked closely with the director of the USAID ASSIST Project working on program implementation and management, finance, health systems strengthening and quality improvement mechanisms. Amanda has been volunteering for the organizing AMP Global Youth for the past three years in a wide variety of functions, currently sitting on their Youth Advisory Board.
