I have over 14 years experience in implementing United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) supported projects in Nigeria. My specific areas of expertise include social behaviour change strategy development and implementation, advocacy skills building, messages and materials development, community mobilization and outreach, public & media relations, as well as technical capacity building on participatory techniques for civil society and community groups in the areas of education, democracy and governance, health, and vulnerable children interventions.
I have experience in gender mainstreaming across intervention areas and in providing technical assis-tance to Civil Society and Non Governmental Organizations’ (CS/NGOs) on proposal writing, project management, communications, community mobilization and advocacy. Fostering partnerships and main-taining positive working relationships with all levels of government and between coalition groups and government institutions, I have successfully worked with community members to mobilizing around increasing access to basic education resulting in the ac-ceptance of reproductive health and child spacing as well as girl child education by community, religious and traditional leaders who hitherto have rejected such. My experience cuts across program design, implementation, base line surveys and monitoring.

I have together 10 years of experience as a public health pharmacist and a development worker. I am involved in the design, managing and implementation of concepts around strategic health communications geared at Social and Behavior Change Communication principles. My Pharmacy and Public Health training has given me a cutting edge in my career path.
As a communication specialist, I have supported, co – facilitated and facilitated several communication workshops among which is the Leadership in Strategic Health Communication (LSHC) workshops alongside renown communication experts from the Center for Communication programs Nigeria, Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs (CCP).
I hold the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 2004 degree of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree (2008) from the Public Health Department of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Glasgow, Scotland.
I currently serve as a Programs Officer at the Center for Communication Programs Nigeria, and also function as the PA to the Executive Director of the organization. My roles are invaluable as I provide technical support to field staff, giving support to the communication components of their tasks.
