Keris Raisanen

I am the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for HC3. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs, I worked as a clinical trials database programmer for Quintiles, a multinational contract research organization. I also spent several years working with teams in East Africa on international research and evaluation activities with Ipas, a reproductive health NGO based out of North Carolina. I have a BS in Biochemistry from Ithaca College and a MPH in Epidemiology and International Health from the University of Michigan. My master’s thesis work focused on HPV infection and type prevalence among cervical cancer cases in three regions of Tunisia.

Joel Oduor Otieno

Joel is a Community and Public Health Nutritionist with an extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience in health and nutrition programming, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, global health and international development. He holds a Bsc in Food Nutrition and Dietetics from South Eastern Kenya University and a Micromasters of Leadership in Global Development at The University of Queensland, Australia.
Currently, Joel is a Research and Field Officer at EpiStat Research with a focus on building capacities in SMART Methodology. The bulk of the work mainly targets planning and execution of nutrition assessments, development of survey tools and protocols, report writing, representation and communication.
With the 3 years of experience, Joel has worked as a Clinical Nutritionist working with People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in the Comprehensive Care Clinics, Pregnant and Lactating Women at the Maternal Child Health Centers and management of malnourished children through implementation of the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition Protocol.
With knowledge of Leadership on Global Development and Nutrition, Joel is available for opportunities that may call for skills and competence in the following area of interest; project management, monitoring and evaluation, cash transfer programming, community management of acute malnutrition, water sanitation and hygiene, food nutrition and security, sustainable development and global health.

Grace Peters

Provides technical direction and management/ administrative leadership for the Glorious Family Helps Evangelical International Min. Inc. (GFHEIM) a.k.a. Glorious Family Health Link organization. Development and design of broad-based strategies and implementation for interventions of the improvement of nutrition, quality family life/reproductive health, Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) & HIV/AIDs prevention programs within the community and organizations. Provide strategic program support in the areas of advocacy, behavior change communication, curriculum development, supportive supervision, needs assessment, Baseline, Midterm and End line assessment, situation analysis, strategic communications, research, training, workshop facilitation and writing.

Gertrude Laryea

I am a 53 year old pharmacist working as the Deputy Director for Pharmaceutical Services at the Accra Metro Health Directorate. Accra Metropolitan area has a population of close to 2,000,000 people. My passion is to work to promote rational use of medicines, particularly antibiotics, in the metropolis. I also want to work to increase spontaneous reporting of adverse drug reactions (pharmacovigilance) among health workers and residents alike in this catchment area. I am of the strongest conviction that through social and behaviour change communication I can achieve my goal.

Prior to working in the Metro Health Directorate I worked as a pharmacy manager in one of the hospitals in the metropolis- Maamobi General Hospital. Here, among other activities, l offerred adherence counselling and drug information services to clients in the anti-retroviral therapy, diabetic and hypertensive clinics, thereby optimising pharmacotherapy and improving health outcomes.
