Reduction of HIV-related Stigma and Discrimination

This Guidance Note is designed to assist countries in addressing aspects of HIV-related stigma and discrimination in national AIDS responses.

The Note offers guidance through political initiatives, using people living with HIV and other key populations as a resource against stigma and, most importantly, costing, budgeting and implementing sufficient stigma-reducing programs in national AIDS responses.
