Interpersonal Communication

This is a module created to improve preparedness for and response of communities in countries at risk of a cholera epidemic.

This job aid is developed for frontline workers (Health Education Workers as well as Animal Health Workers) who are working at the community level to help community members engage with community representatives. Community representatives include, for example, elder men and women, religious leaders, teachers, traditional healers, agricultural development agents, and other relevant bodies. The job aid aims to help facilitate dialogue on how to prevent and control priority zoonotic diseases (anthrax, brucellosis, and rabies) in the community.

The Our First Baby Facilitator’s Guide contains nine participatory sessions to be used in small group sessions with first-time mothers and their male partners. Sessions cover fertility, antenatal care, care of the mother during pregnancy, first-time fatherhood, birth planning/delivery, newborn and postpartum care, exclusive breastfeeding, healthy timing and spacing of pregnancy, family planning, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and gender-based violence. 

Suaahara was an integrated nutrition project (2011-2016) that worked in 41 underserved districts in Nepal to improve the health and well-being of the Nepali people by focusing on the nutritional status of women and children under the age of two years.
