I have together 10 years of experience as a public health pharmacist and a development worker. I am involved in the design, managing and implementation of concepts around strategic health communications geared at Social and Behavior Change Communication principles. My Pharmacy and Public Health training has given me a cutting edge in my career path.
As a communication specialist, I have supported, co – facilitated and facilitated several communication workshops among which is the Leadership in Strategic Health Communication (LSHC) workshops alongside renown communication experts from the Center for Communication programs Nigeria, Johns Hopkins Center for Communications Programs (CCP).
I hold the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 2004 degree of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree (2008) from the Public Health Department of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Glasgow, Scotland.
I currently serve as a Programs Officer at the Center for Communication Programs Nigeria, and also function as the PA to the Executive Director of the organization. My roles are invaluable as I provide technical support to field staff, giving support to the communication components of their tasks.
I have worked with great precision on assignments and tasks with outstanding results.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing technical assistance for the Media Outreach Communication component of the Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) Nepal project including Family Planning umbrella campaign and extension campaigns for Youth, Migrants and Disadvantaged Groups. Coordination with government counterpart National Health Education, Communication and Information Center (NHEICC) to develop national Family Planning Advocacy campaign.

Michael Toso
Mike Toso is a Malaria Program Officer for HC3. He is a public health professional with more than 7 years experience in international development, 5 of which were devoted to health project design and implementation in the field. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs and its HC3 project, Mike worked in Senegal as the President’s Malaria Initiative liaison for the Stomping Out Malaria in Africa Peace Corps initiative. Prior to working in Senegal, Mike completed a masters in Community Health Education with Western Illinois University and the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs Peace Corps Fellows program. While completing his masters, he completed a year-long internship with Southern Illinois Healthcare implementing a methamphetamine prevention grant for adolescents in Zeigler, Illinois. Mike served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger before grad school, his experiences there appear in the Peace Corps anthology, One Hand Does Not Catch A Buffalo’s final chapter, Sustainable Peace.

I am a public health professional currently working in Papua New Guinea for the WHO as a Technical Officer for Sexual and Reproductive Health, sponsored by the Netherlands government as part of their Junior Professional Officer programme. I have lived and worked in a number of countries (mostly in Latin America/Caribbean, Asia Pacific). I earned by MSc in Reproductive and Sexual Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine, and I did my undergraduate studies at McGill University in Canada. I hate the cold, I love all things strange, and I am passionate about C4D and SBCC
