Hollywood, Health and Society
This is a website designed by the Hollywood, Health and Society project at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California to help film and television producers and writers find accurate, up to date health content for integration into their storylines. There is a section on the site for writers, which offers health topic tip sheets and common questions. The site offers quick health facts, case examples and links to experts and real people who can share their stories. This organization has assisted writers with major storylines on topics such as skin cancer, breast cancer, hepatitis, heart disease, toxic exposure, antibiotic resistance, sexual violence, organ transplants, SARS and smallpox.There is also a section for public health professionals, providing resources and examples of projects.
