A Multi-Sector Approach to Preventing Violence

Using an example in Houston, this publication illustrates how the Collaboration Multiplier tool can maximize the benefits of multi-sector collaboration and help violence prevention groups overcome the challenges of working together. A Multi-Sector Approach to Preventing Violence includes information about seven public sectors, as well as a sample analysis for how community services, the economic sector, schools and public health might work together to prevent violence. Developed with funding from the Kresge Foundation, this publication is the companion document to a full-length guide on using Collaboration Multiplier to improve safety outcomes.
