Principles of Human-Centered Design

This video, by Don Norman, Director of the Design Lab at the University of California, explains the principles of human-centered design.

He believes in HCD, which is design based on the needs of the user, leaving aside what he deems secondary issues like aesthetics. HCD involves simplifying the structure of tasks, making things visible, getting the mapping right, exploiting the powers of constraint, and designing for error.
