Five Key Messages of Essential Newborn Care [Poster, Nepal]
This poster provides guidelines to service providers regarding five essential steps after childbirth:
- Wipe the baby clean
- Apply chlorhexidine gel to the umbilical cord
- Keep the baby in skin to skin contact
- Initiate breastfeeding within one hour of birth
- Delay bathing the baby for at least 24 hours after birth
