Little Mosquito Big Problem is a social media campaign designed by Breakthrough ACTION-Guyana in collaboration with the Government of Guyana about malaria prevention. During the COVID-19 pandemic, social media posts reminded the public that even during the pandemic they must remember all aspects of malaria prevention and treatment.
This is a training curriculum developed for Breakthrough ACTION Guyana Regional Support Coordinators to appropriately recruit and train Community Volunteer Facilitators to disseminate messages within their communities.
This is a report on qualitative research undertaken by Breakthrough ACTION Guyana, USAID’s flagship social and behavior change (SBC) project designed to improve malaria outcomes among priority populations. The project uses innovative SBC approaches to address key behaviors related to malaria testing and treatment.
The Guyana Safer Injections Project (GSIP) worked closely with the Ministry of Health in Guyana to promote behaviors that prevent HIV transmission and other blood-borne diseases through sharp injuries in health facilities and communities.
