Interventions to Reduce Stunting [Malaria]
These interventions were developed as part of a “1000 Special Days” campaign in Malawi to reduce stunting by caring for the pregnant woman, unborn child, and child up to 2 years. The messages address maternal nutrition, infant and young child feeding, dietary diversification, micronutrients, and growth monitoring. The 1000 days represents the total of the 9 months of pregnancy and the life of the child up to 24 months. This poster briefly describes the interventions being promoted as part of the campaign, including various suggestions for care of the mother during pregnancy, the importance of breastfeeding, and hints for the nutrition of the child up to 24 months.
