Usap Tayo sa Family Planning Booklets

The Usap Tayo sa Family Planning Booklet is a 24-page booklet, developed by the USAID ReachHealth Project, containing information on different family planning options for couples, whether they want to space their pregnancies or limit childbearing when their family is complete. It includes a brief description of eight family planning methods, their effectiveness, and Filipinos’ common experiences with each method.

Social Media Rumour Bulletin

Internews works with Translators without Borders and other groups to collect and analyze rumors and misinformation related to COVID-19. Data is collected in six languages across Asia.

This bulletin relies on social media data collected by monitors working for Internews and partner organizations. Data is collected both manually and with the use of specialist monitoring platforms. The bulletin aims to provide tools and resources to help journalists and community workers to respond to misinformation they encounter in their work.

    BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 Campaign Materials

    BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19 campaign is a nationwide campaign that simplifies the citizen’s tasks into 4 letters — BIDA (hero), and encourages them to take an active role in the fight against a common enemy: COVID-19 (the “contrabida”).

    The campaign encourages people to #BIDASolusyon (Be The Solution) by following 4 BIDA behaviors:

    • B – Bawal walang mask (Don’t go out without a mask)
    • I – I-sanitize ang mga kamay, iwas hawak sa mga bagay (Sanitize your hand, avoid touching things)
    • D – Dumistansya ng isang metro (Keep your distance of 1 meter)
    • A – Alamin ang totoong impormasyon (Know the right information)

    The campaign materials include TV commercial, radio commercial, print materials such as posters, billboards, signages, and decals, newspaper ads, social media cards, broadcaster’s manual, and hygiene kit. The hygiene kit has bath soap, laundry soap, fabric mask, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary napkin, shampoo, nail cutter, dishwashing liquid, and BIDA kit bag with BIDA, DOH, and USAID logos.

    This campaign was developed and implemented through the collaboration of USAID Philippines, Breakthrough ACTION team, and Department of Health, and in partnership with other public and private partners.

    It is a multimedia campaign to maximize reach and enable behavior.

    Let’s Talk About Family Planning during COVID-19 Social Media Cards

    This set of social media cards for family planning in the time of COVID-19 integrates the Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM)’s Usap Tayo (Let’s Talk About Family Planning) messaging into each of the cards to reinforce the campaign.

    It contains information on how to contact the POPCOM Helpline for FP Advice, and details on how to access FP methods during the Community Quarantine period.

    Cards are available in English, Tagalog, and Bisaya.
