A Guide to Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC)

This booklet was designed for educators, health and social workers, personal advisers and youth and community workers who come into contact with young people. It is part of a campaign which targets women ages 16-19 who are sexually active or considering becoming sexually active, are aware of the need to use contraception to avoid unplanned pregnancy, and who express an intention to practice safe sex but do not always follow through, for a wide range of reasons

It provides basic information about LARC methods, and provides motivational messages about LARCs. Also included is information that can be discussed with the client about negotiating safe sex.
