Guidelines for Family Planning Communication in Malawi
These guidelines were developed to assist district health management teams (DHMTs) and community organizations to review their FP communication programming.
The guidelines aim to help them to:
• Analyze data in the district and community and increase understanding of FP issues
• Segment target populations based on the FP issues unique to a community
• Identify and overcome specific barriers to FP uptake
• Ensure accurate and consistent messaging on FP
• Develop effective interventions to reach target populations
