HMIS Indicators, 2070
Nepal’s health sector needs accurate, comprehensive and disaggregated data to gauge its performance, identify disparities between social groups and geographic areas, and plan future interventions.
The Health Management Information System (HMIS), based within the Department of Health Services (DoHS), has played an important role to date in providing health service data. Realizing the need to strengthen HMIS to meet current demands the Management Information System (MIS) Section, Management Division, Department of Health Services (DoHS), under the Guidance of Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from development partners has revised these indicators.
