CHUMO
Produced in and around Dar es Salaam by Media for Development International (Tanzania) and funded by Johns Hopkins University in association with USAID, Chumo communicates around malaria prevention through the dramatic story of star-crossed lovers. The film encourages young people to fight for what they want in their lives. It is made for all Tanzanian audiences. The film follows the story of Juma, a poor fisherman and his girlfriend whose father wants something better for her than a life with a fisherman. Juma makes many sacrifices to win her love.
