Ghana BCS Media Materials Inventory

This is an inventory of all of the media/materials produced under the Ghana Behavior Change Support (BCS) Project from 2009-2013.

The main objectives of the project are to increase demand and use of commodities, services and positive behaviors in the areas of:

  • Maternal Neonatal Child Health and Family Planning Services
  • Malaria prevention and treatment
  • Nutrition
  • HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support
  • Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

The project was also charged with improving behavior change communication (BCC) capacity at the national, district and community levels.

Girls and Growing Up

A brochure about puberty for girls. Covers topics such as: “What’s happening to my body?” “That time of the month,” “Ovulation,” “Menstruation,” “Zits, spots and pimples,” and “Survive Puberty.”

GO Referral Card

This is a 3-piece small colourful card designed with the NURHI Get It Together Logo and given to potential clients by social mobilizers to refer them to the nearst health center so that they can access family planning services.

GoodLife Live it Well Quiz

This health quiz and score card is part of the GoodLife Live it Well campaign in Ghana. It addresses “10 simple things you can do for protection from some of the most common illnesses and biggest killers in Ghana.” It helps individuals identify their “Live It Well” score, which ranks their disease prevention behavior.

The score card was published in local newspapers and on flyers for use during community outreach.

GoodLife Teaser Buzz Card

This teaser card was used in the first phase of the GoodLife Ghana Project. It was designed to create “buzz” and curiosity about the meaning of the phrase GoodLife and what the project was going to address. In the second phase of the project, more information was provided, linking GoodLife to wishes for a better life via good health.

Health and Nutrition Booklet

Alive & Thrive is an initiative in Vietnam aimed at improving infant and young child feeding by increasing rates of exclusive breastfeeding and improving complementary feeding practices.

The booklet is given to mothers of older babies as part of a childhood nutrition project in Viet Nam. It includes information on franchise services, records visits to the franchise and services received, provides information on complementary feeding, and child development, and includes activities such as a diary on the child’s development.
